In an attempt to stiffen its control over the telecom operators in the country, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has decided to launch its own call quality-rating app, MyCall.
With the help of this app, the general public will be able to measure and compare the Voice Call Quality of their telecom operators. This app will allow the user to measure the voice call quality of their operator after each call. TRAI has taken this step for better customer experience.
With this step, TRAI is also trying to leash in the telecom companies. It is believed that due to this app, companies will improve their calling quality.
TRAI Chairman RS Sharma told during the interaction with the media that the app can launch by the end of this month.
TRAI will develop this app on the lines of MySpid App. Through the MySpid App, the TARI will assess data speed of telecom operators across the country.
With the help of this app, Trai issues the data related data and the rank of telecom operator. The name of this Calling app will be the name of the MyCall, on which users will be able to rate their telecom operators.
According to a recent report the call drop has decreased by 7% from 64% in Dec-2016 to 57% by the end of Mar-17. So even though a 7% down in call drop, there is still a great scope for progress.
